Welcome back to another week in 3Glazier.
Students had many great stories to share with the class relating to their
Easter break.*** Our class will be participating in the MVHS Fly Fishing and Outdoors Expo
Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Transportation is provided to and from
school to MVHS. Students will be able to see many informative displays such as
Miramichi Salmon Association, Dept of Fisheries and Oceans, Dept of Natural
Resources, MVHS Underwater Robot Project, etc. Students will also have the
opportunity to tie knots, flies and learn how to cast a fly rod. Please ensure your child has a bag lunch/snacks
as a precaution in case we arrive later than intended. French - We completed an Easter story last week. We will continue
with procedural writing this week. Students will continue to develop their
vocabulary and incorporate new transitional words into their writing pieces. As always, our Daily 5 routine will continue.
Students have many great gains, and I look forward to reading with a new group
of students daily to aide with their fluidity, prediction, and comprehension
skills.Math - This week we will move on to cover division seeing that we
spent the last two weeks going over multiplication. Feel free to contact me if
you would like to request extra work for your child to practice at home.Social

the hatchery. Thus far two eggs have hatched. Within another week or so they
should all be out and about. April’s calendar has also been sent home in your child’s reading
bag. Many important dates/activities have been highlighted. Also, if possible I am asking students to bring in a toilet
paper and/or paper towel role to school Thursday. We will be making bunnies for
art. French - We will be finishing up our “favorite pastime”
theme this week. We are nearing completion of our themes for the year. Once
complete, we will undertake a writing activity covering all themes. My goal is
to have students produce a year end book/journal to take home in June.Math - We continue with various multiplication activities.
Later on in the week we will move on to division. Feel free to practice
multiplication at home up to 5x5 (and beyond if you choose). Please send me a note
