Welcome back to another week in 3Glazier.
Students had many great stories to share with the class relating to their
Easter break.*** Our class will be participating in the MVHS Fly Fishing and Outdoors Expo
Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Transportation is provided to and from
school to MVHS. Students will be able to see many informative displays such as
Miramichi Salmon Association, Dept of Fisheries and Oceans, Dept of Natural
Resources, MVHS Underwater Robot Project, etc. Students will also have the
opportunity to tie knots, flies and learn how to cast a fly rod. Please ensure your child has a bag lunch/snacks
as a precaution in case we arrive later than intended. French - We completed an Easter story last week. We will continue
with procedural writing this week. Students will continue to develop their
vocabulary and incorporate new transitional words into their writing pieces. As always, our Daily 5 routine will continue.
Students have many great gains, and I look forward to reading with a new group
of students daily to aide with their fluidity, prediction, and comprehension
skills.Math - This week we will move on to cover division seeing that we
spent the last two weeks going over multiplication. Feel free to contact me if
you would like to request extra work for your child to practice at home.Social
Studies - We are nearing the
completion of our Social Studies unit. Students have studied many aspects about
our province. We have looked at our
climate, vegetation, geographic elements, physical descriptors, population,
attractions to name a few. We also took time to compare our province to the
Maritimes and Canada as a whole.Health - Our 5 senses will be explored this week. Reminders: - Read nightly - Sign and return
agenda/read bag to school. - April Scholastic order
will be sent home Friday, April 10th. - Mr. Jean Guy Comeau will
pay us a visit on April 15th to discuss NB forest as part of our
