    Welcome back. A reminder that there will be no school on Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 2nd due to Subject Council Days.French - We will continue with our Daily 5 routine this week and move on to identify specific vocabulary pertianing to playgrounds. Next week we will begin to review materail covered since September and commence our draft for our year end book. Math - We completed our multiplication and division unit last Friday. We will use our time Monday and Tuesday to review and prepare for our unit test Wednesday. Geometry will be our next unit of study. This unit will tie in nicely with our upcoming Structures and Materials unit in Science.  Science - We have completed ouf study of Health and will now be moving to Science. For the next 3-4 weeks students will be learning about structures and the various materails used and forces applied in bulding and maintaing them. A reminder if you have any newspapers and/or flyers at home to please send them with your child. We will utilize them to build a tower as a final project. Reminders:- Spell-aThon tocommence next week.  An information sheet will be sent home Tuesday.- Reading is to occur nightly- Continue to check agenda. Send notices in your child's agenda if you require assistance, after school pick-up, etc.Let's have a great week.       Welcome back to another week in 3Glazier. Students had many great stories to share with the class relating to their Easter break. French - We will continue with procedural writing this week. Students will continue to develop their vocabulary and incorporate new transitional words into their writing pieces. As always, our Daily 5 routine will continue. Students have many great gains, and I look forward to reading with a new group of students daily to aide with their fluidity, prediction, and comprehension skills. Math - This week we will move on to cover division seeing that we spent the last two weeks going over multiplication. My goal is to administer their test next Wednesday. Please note that there is no school for students next Thursday and Friday due to teacher meetings. Feel free to contact me if you would like to request extra work for your child to practice at home. Health - We will wrap up our health unit this week. I plan to review material covered to date. Next week we will commence our Structures and Materials unit in Science. ***If you have any newspapers/flyers lying around at home, could you please send them to school with your child? As a final project, students will be tasked with building a “tower.” Reminders:  -     Read nightly  -    Sign and return agenda/read bag to school.

          Welcome back! This will be a 3 day week. Thursday is a Professional Learning Day for teachers and Friday is Good Friday. French - Last week students wrote a procedural writing piece on gingerbread men. Today in class we enjoyed gingerbread cookies during recess break. Easter will be our theme this week. We will learn new vocabulary, create an art project, and write a short story.    Math - We continue to learn about multiplication. This week we will focus on the fact that multiplication relates to repeating patterns Students have learned to following vocabulary thus far: group, élément, produit, fois, and matrice. Health - Our 5 senses will be explored this week. Reminders: - Scholastic orders due Wednesday April 16th - Reading is to occur nightly - Continue to check agenda. Send notices in your child's agenda if you require assistance, after school pick-up, etc. Let's have a great week.           Welcome back! The month of April is upon us. I look forward to the many activities we have planned. French - This week’s focus will be on our Neighborhoods. We will discuss where we live, situate our house in relation to school, describe how we arrive to and from school, as well as identifying nearby locals such as the park, restaurants, etc.  We continue to have authentic discussions, written work, and reading time surrounding each theme. Math - Monday students will write their unit test on Measurement. Once corrected, they will be sent home to be signed. On Tuesday, we will commence our multiplication and division unit. Uncompleted work will be sent home if need be. If anyone is interested in supplemental work for your child, please send me a note and I would be more than happy to send some in their reading bags. Health - We will commence our new unit in Health this week. We will review “Bucket Filling” then move on to describe ways to make our community a healthier and safer place to live and work. These activities will also serve as a review from our past Social Studies unit as well.   Reminders: - Scholastic orders due April 17th - Reading is to occur nightly - Continue to check agenda. Send notices in your child's agenda if you require assistance, after school pick-up, etc. Let's have a great week.
