We have been practicing the following Grandparents Day Introduction so I would like for you to practice with your child at home too.        "It's Grandparents Day And we're here to say, We love our Grandparents in a major way! So sit right down and take a seat. We'll put on a show that can't be beat."

There has been some confusion over the two duotangs that have been sent home.  The red duotang is for Homework and the yellow duotang is for Sight Words.  The red duotang is sent home on Mondays and collected on Fridays.  The sight word duotang can stay home and the activities in it are for you do do with your child, IF you choose too.  This is not extra work to do at home to be sent in.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the school.   Here are a few things to remember this week.    *  In Literacy, we will be working on Rhyme Awareness.  This will be so much fun because there are so many things that rhyme.  We have been reading rhyming books in class.   *  In Math, we are working on Sorting with sorting rule and working on Patterns.  An activity sheet will be sent home this week with some follow up activities to do with your child to reinforce what we are learning in the classroom.  Have fun!   *  Remember that we have Library on Mondays so all books should be returned then so a new one can be checked out.     *  On Tues., Sept. 18th, we will have a Bus Evacuation and learn about Bus Safety.       *  Scholastic Book Orders are due on Sept. 21st.
