Here are a few things that are happening this week:
We will be working on the letter Tt this week. Because Monday is Halloween and it is a short week, students will only have to read or get read to each night, practice printing the letter Tt, and circling all the letter t's in the letter Tt poem.
Monday, Oct. 31 - Happy Halloween! We will have our Halloween Jamboree in the afternoon. Students can dress up in their costumes.
Have fun Trick or Treating in the evening.
Remember that there is no school on Friday, Nov. 4th. Enjoy your day off.

Students were very creative this week. Emma M. brought an airplane and an apple, Ellie brought a picture of her uncle Andrew, Emile brought the letter A, Samuel brought his brother Alexandre and some acorns, Emma R. brought an apple, and Jordan brought Ariel. Great job everyone!Read more

November 2nd - There will be a meeting for new parents to Saint Andrew's Elementary. Topics of the meeting include: procedures, how parents can become involved, and any other questions or concerns parents may have. This meeting will begin at 7:00 pm.
November 7th - Math Night for K-2 students. This math night will consist of fun and exciting math games you can play with your child. There will also be a handout full of games and websites to help your child in math.

Here are a few things happening this week:
* For Literacy homework we will be working on the letter 'Aa'. This is a hard working letter because it has two sounds, a long and a short sound. The short /a/ sounds like Allie Alligator and in words like Abby, add, after, active, at, bat, and cat. The long /a/ says its own name and it can be found in words like cake, ape, age, and aid. We will have Show and Tell on Friday so make sure you bring in something that begins with the letter 'Aa'. You will also have to practice making the letter 'a'. There is also a Halloween beginning letter activity.
* In Math please practice printing the number 3.
* It is also very important to read or get read to each night and to practice your sight words on a regular basis.
* Remember that Monday, Oct. 24 is National School Library Day where students can dress up like their favorite book character.
