Here are a few important things that are happening this week in our classroom and around the school. *In Literacy this week, we are working on the letter Ll.  Lots of lovely words begin with this letter, like lizard, lollipop, lavender, lemon-aide, ladybug, leaves, lake, and llama are just a few.  Show and Tell will be on Thursday this week because there is no school on Friday.     *In Math, we will continue to work on Measurement.  Check out the web link I posted called ‘How Tall?’.  The kids really enjoyed this when I showed it to them and again when they got a chance to play during free play.   *The Scholastic Book Fair begins on Monday, February 20th and runs until Wednesday, February 22nd.  We will be visiting the fair on Monday morning.   *We are going skating on Wednesday, February 22nd and will be leaving the school at 8:35.  If your child needs to borrow a helmet, please let me know ahead of time so I can get one that fits him/her.     *There is NO school on Friday, February 24th due to Curriculum Implementation Day.  Enjoy your long weekend.       * In class Scholastic Book Orders are due Thursday, February 23rd.

How Tall? (Math)

In Math, we have been measuring things to see how tall or how long things are.  We even measured ourselves.  This is a website where kids have to guess how many of something it takes to measure the object.  The kids had fun with it so I decided to post it in case anyone wanted to play at home.  Have fun!
