Here are a few important things that are happening this week in our classroom and around the school.
*In Literacy this week, we are working on the letter Ll. Lots of lovely words begin with this letter, like lizard, lollipop, lavender, lemon-aide, ladybug, leaves, lake, and llama are just a few. Show and Tell will be on Thursday this week because there is no school on Friday.
*In Math, we will continue to work on Measurement. Check out the web link I posted called ‘How Tall?’. The kids really enjoyed this when I showed it to them and again when they got a chance to play during free play.
*The Scholastic Book Fair begins on Monday, February 20th and runs until Wednesday, February 22nd. We will be visiting the fair on Monday morning.
*We are going skating on Wednesday, February 22nd and will be leaving the school at 8:35. If your child needs to borrow a helmet, please let me know ahead of time so I can get one that fits him/her.
*There is NO school on Friday, February 24th due to Curriculum Implementation Day. Enjoy your long weekend.
* In class Scholastic Book Orders are due Thursday, February 23rd.
