It's an exciting week so here are a few things to remember:   *  In Literacy, we will be working on the consonant blend /th/.  There are lots of words that have the /th/ sound in the beginning, middle and end of words.  Here are a few: think, thousand, thunder, another, bathtub, healthy, truth, booth, and tooth.  Have fun searching for something with the /th/ sound for Show and Tell on Friday.     *  In Math, we are working with numbers 6 - 10.   *  Scholastic Book orders are due on Friday, June 1st.  This will be the last order of the year and a wonderful way to get books for reading over the summer.

Here are a few things to remember this week.     *  In Literacy, we will be working on the /sh/ diagraph.  Show and Tell will be on Friday.  Happy hunting for something that has the /sh/ sound.       *  In Math, we will continue to work on the numbers 6-10.  We have been working on different combinations of all numbers and we have been practicing counting backwards.   *  Go for 42 walks have started at the noon recess.  This is a great way to get some exercise and to add to their Go for 42 chart.   *  Scholastic book orders will be sent home this week for the final time this year.  Anyone wishing to purchase books for summer reading, you will have until June 1st to do so.  Happy Reading!

Here are a couple of things happening this week:   *  In Literacy, we will be working on /ch/ diagraph.  So many words start with the /ch/ sound, such as, chin, cheap, chicken, chirp, chat, cheetah, and cheese.  There are even some words that have the /ch/ sound at the beginning and the end of a word, such as, church.     *  In Math, we are still exploring numbers all numbers 1 through 10.  A big thanks to Mrs. Petrie for coming in to our classroom last week and helping us with lots of Math ideas.  We had so much fun!
