Don't forget that for the fee of $1.00 you can bring your electronics to school tomorrow! We will be allowed to have them out during indoor recess and for 1/2 hour of classtime in the afternoon. It is very important that you are very careful and take care of your things. We don't want anything broken or misplaced!

We have begun working on a new unit in Math. Our focus is developing strategies for adding and subtracting 1-digit numbers. The learning goals for this unit are:
1. develop and use mental math strategies for adding and subtracting. For example: doubles/near doubles, make ten etc.
2. Understand the relationship between addition and subtraction eg: 2+7=9 9-7=2
3. Find out if 2 sides of a number sentence (equation) are equal or not equal

I just wanted to say what a fantastic job our class did in the Christmas Concert this morning. You all looked great and should be proud of all your hard work practicing.
It is an exciting week here at school as we are all awaiting Santa's visit next week. We are busy making crafts and doing Christmas activities!
I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year.

Just a reminder that our Christmas Concert for grade K-2 will be on Tuesday, December 17th beginning at 9 am.
Also our annual Christmas Cocoa House will be held on Wednesday, December 18th beginning at 6:15 pm in our school gym.
