Hello everyone.  Just a few things to mention about the last day of school.  We are still going to have our Polar Express Party tomorrow morning (Dec. 23), from 8:30 until 9:45.  The students will get their ticket and then hop aboard the Polar Express.  We will then read the story to them and do some related activities afterwards.  At 10:00, after the kids have their recess, we will have our Christmas party.  Parents are more than welcome to attend.  We hope all the kiddies are enjoying their day off.  We will see you tomorrow.  Students can still come dressed in their pajamas if they wish.   Mrs. Schofield and I would like to thank everyone for contributing to our class in any way.  Your support and kindness is greatly appreciated.  We wish each and every one of you a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season and new year.  Merry Christmas!!
We are learning about the letter "H" this week.   Our Christmas Concert is on Thursday, December 16th at 9:00am.   This will be our last week for homework for the year. Homework will resume when students return in January. We ask that you continue to read with your child during the break.

Just an update on the food drive.  So far our kindergarten classes have brought in over 50 items for the Food Bank.  We heard today that the food bank is in need of baby/toddler food.  We will be collecting items until Dec. 17th.  For every item a student brings in, their name will be entered into a draw for a computer for their classroom.  Keep up the great work Kindergarten Kids!!

We are very excited now that we have moved into our new classroom.  We will post some pictures so you can check it out.  We have lots of room for everyone to move around and the children are adjusting very well.  Also, our teacher pages are now combined!!  Here is what is happening this week:   * Our letter of the week is "k".  Show and Tell will be on Friday so students can think of something to bring in that has the /k/ sound.       * There is a notice in your child's Book Buddy Bag about skaking.  Our class, along with the grade one classes, will be going skating on Wednesday, Dec. 1st at the LBA.  The bus will be leaving the school at 8:30 and returning before recess.  All students must have skates, a helmet, snow pants/splash pants, and mittens.  If any parent(s) would like to join us or help tie skates, please come along.     *  The December Scholastic book orders for Mrs. Allison's class are due Dec. 1st.  If you would like to buy books as a Christmas gift, please state that on the order form and I will keep them aside or send them home in a sealed envelope.   *  Mrs. Schofield sent her December book orders home today.  These orders are due on Dec. 7th. If you would like to buy books as a Christmas gift, please state that on the order form and I will keep them aside or send them home in a sealed envelope.   We hope everyone has a wonderful week!! All classes are now collecting food for the Food Bank.  Both our Kindergarten classes are going to put a challenge out there to Mr. Williston's and Mrs. Buggie's grade one classes to see which classes can bring in the most items for the food bank.  Remember this is for a great cause. Let's go Kindergarten!!

Winter has arrived. Students are now wearing ski-pants. Black is a very popular color of ski-pants and they are easily mixed up. Please write your child's name on his/her ski-pants. Thanks!

Show and Tell will be on Thursday this week. No school on Friday for Kindergarten Kids.

Posted: November 23, 2010

Show and Tell will be held on Thursday this week because there will be no school for Kindergarten on Friday.  So bring in something that starts with the /c/ sound. Have fun!!     One more thing:  Could you please put your child's name on their snow pants?  There are so many boys and girls with the same color of snow pants and they forget which ones are theirs.  Thanks so much.
