We have a busy couple of weeks before school has ended for Christmas vacation. Over the next few weeks for homework, we will have read and record and students are reminded to study their 6 facts. There will be no spelling sheets/words or math sheets. We realize everyone is busy this time of year.
All students are encouraged to bring in items for our local food bank. All items are being gathered around the Christmas tree in our main lobby.
Our Chrismtas concert is right around the corner, on Thursday Dec 16th at 9am. Our student have been busy practicing for this very festive event. We hope to see everyone at the concert.

We've just introduced estimation and the students seem very intereted in estimation just about anything they can get their hands or eyes on. Great job...fellows.

We have been working hard in math class on skip counting by '5s, 10's and 2,s. Counting by these numbers is usually pretty easy but it's a little more challenging when you have to start at various numbers. For Example, start at 37 and counting on by 10's. Try to work on these at home. Practice makes perfect!
Also, we are having our penny drive this month. Please bring in lots of them so that we can purchase skating helmets for our school. If we bring in the most money, we will win a popsicle party.
There is no school on Friday as it is November 11th, Remembrance Day. Please return all homework on Thursday.

our writing block, we have been having a blast creating some spooky Halloween stories. I will send these home
when they are finished. Hold on to your seat...some of them WILL scare you.
