Just a reminder that there is no school for students on Thurs. October 9th
and Fri. October 10th.
Therefore there will be no spelling words or test this week. Students will
be taking books home to read and record on their log sheet. This will be the
only homework this week.

This year in Grade 2 students begin to have spelling words to study each week. They will be given
the words on Monday and will have them for the week at home to practice spelling them. The
spelling test will be each Friday! Students will also have an opportunity to work with these words in
class during Daily 5.
The spelling words consist of 5 words that follow a pattern and 5 no-excuse sight words for the
end of Grade 2.
This week's words are:
PATTERN WORDS: (short vowel a) sat ran bag map jam
