Don't forget that for the fee of  $1.00  you can bring your electronics to school tomorrow! We have begun working on a new unit in Math.  Our focus is developing strategies for adding and subtracting 1-digit numbers.  The learning goals for  this unit are: 1.  develop and use mental math strategies for adding and subtracting. For example:  doubles/near doubles,  make ten etc. 2.  Understand the relationship between addition and subtraction  eg:  2+7=9  9-7=2 3.  Find out if 2 sides of a number sentence (equation) are equal or not equal   To help your child at home you can practice the math facts for adding and subtracting numbers to 18 orally, or you can visit the math webpage link:  www.jmathpage.com
