There is so much learning taking place!- We are always working on saying the date.  (Remembering that the number comes before the month in French is tricky!)- Counting up to 40 is getting to be too easy! Skip counting is next!- We have read 3 books so far, they will be taking one home tomorrow night to practice reading- Each student can present themselves and a friend's name.  We are working on more friend details like their age & grade too.  Our class projects will be presenting ourselves and a partner as if on a tv show like Ellen or Oprah! (Hopefully by the end of this week!  I hope they are as excited as I am for that!)

The students in 3C are counting up a storm!  We are counting up to 40 already!Students made their own flash cards for numbers 1-9 today so that they could practice the most important numbers for homework tonight and tomorrow. These numbers repeat over and over again as we climb to 1000 therefore students need to be able to recognize them quickly in any order (They do not need to be able to read the word on the back of the card, that is only to give parents an idea how they should be saying the number)We have been reviewing colours, days of the week, and reading small books together.  It has been so much fun already! Mme Comeau

So far we have learned how to present ourselves and our classmates (Bonjour, je m'appelle...), we have practiced numbers to 20, we have worked hard on naming everyday school items (pencils, erasers, scissors etc...) and got to know each other and the school!Tonight, for homework, some students have a matching sheet to finish.  They just have to draw a line from the picture to it's name.  We have used these terms all week in class, in songs, and read them in books, so we should know them!Have a great night! Bon soir mes amis!Mme Comeau
