We have so many talented students at St. Andrew’s Elementary School and it is truly wonderful when we can showcase it. This video was created for Bullying Awareness Week by our own students. The filming was done by Gabe Waye, the video was edited and produced by Kevin Brawn and the acting was done by various students in the school. BRAVO boys and girls and continue spreading the word of peace!

Our peer helpers were privileged to be filmed by artist Glenn Copeland on their peace making skills. When Glenn first met the children and seen their communication and mediation skills he was so interested he decided to make a film about it. The Peer Helper program is based on the idea that youth often seek out their peers when they are experiencing problems with other students. Peer Helpers are trained and supervised to provide a great deal of assistance to their fellow peers.Read more

On Friday December 17th Leadership and Peer Helpers will be hosting a skipping fundraiser. Grades 4-5 will be skipping from 11:30-12:00 and K-3 students from 12:00-12:30. Small donations (nickles, dimes, quarters, loonies) will be collected at the door for a chance to win a door prize. Money collected will be used for our school Christmas breakfast. Skipping ropes will be provided and parents are welcome to attend. Thank you for your continued support!  
Our school will be participating in Canada's bullying awareness day on Friday December 17th.   Students are asked to wear blue to show their support. Read more
