Notices coming home

Image result for dont forget clipartOn Friday I sent a notice home regarding skates and helmets.  Please return this tomorrow if you haven't already.

Today there are two notices going home.  The first is a permission slip to enter a piece of student artwork in the the Legion Remembrance Day contest.  I need you to fill out the three areas I have highlighted and return it to me by Wednesday, Nov. 9th.  The second is a sign up slip for Parent-Teacher Interviews.  I would like you to choose your top 3 time preferences and return this to me Wednesday, Nov. 9th.  You will be notified of your time when report cards go home next week.  I'm hoping to see/meet all parents on November 17 and 18th.

November Book Orders

November Scholastic book orders are going home with students today.  They are due back by Wednesday, November 9th.  You may pay by cash, Cheques made out to Scholastic or through Parent Pay.

Pizza Party

Image result for pizza clipartWe won a pizza party!!  Our class had the highest level of participation in the Persuasive Writing Contest on what the new school should be named.

We will have our pizza party tomorrow Friday, October 21st. We will be having lunch in our classroom and students do not need a lunch but they should still bring snacks for recess.

Miramichi East Playground Committee Needs Your Vote!

The Miramichi East Playground Committee is entering the Aviva Community Fund Contest. The committee would like everyone in our beautiful community and beyond to vote for the playground. They are hoping to win $100 000 for their cause.

The only way to win is to have the most votes. Different from previous years, Aviva is allowing voters to log in ONCE during the voting period to cast all 18 of your votes. No need to come back every day. Voting open October 11th and runs through to October 28th.

HOW TO VOTE
1. Go to avivacommunityfund.org (link is external)
2. Click on "Login/Register" - the green button at the top right.
3. Enter your information.
4. Vote for our project and use ALL your 18 votes at once for us! Our project is "Building a Future for our Children - The Playground".
5. Share this event to spread the word!
