Student Progress Reports will be sent home on Monday, February 13th.
We are working on our Geometry and Measurement Unit in math
Tuesday afternoon we will be having a Valentine's Day Party.
Friday, February 17th we will be celebrating our 100th day of school.

No homework this week.
Christmas Shopping Party is on Monday, Dec.19th and Tuesday, Dec.20th
On Wednesday afternoon, Dec.21st we will be having our Christmas party in the classroom.
On Wednesday morning, Dec.21st we will having a "Polar Express" day. Students can come in their pyjamas, slippers and bring their favorite blanket and/or teddy
Friday, Dec.23rd is a half day, students will be dismissed at 11:30am

Our letter of the week is "Ee"
The K-2 Christmas concert is on Thursday, December 15th beginning at 9:00am.
This week will be our final week for homework until after the break.
All library books must be returned this week. Students will not be taking home library books again until after the break.
Christmas Dinner will be served in the cafeteria on Friday, Dec.16th at a cost of $3.50. This will be the only thing available to purchase for lunch.

Math- We will be wrapping up Unit 2 this week.
We are going skating at the L.B.A are Wednesday. Students must have skates and a hockey helmet. If you do not have these necessary items let me know.

Report Cards go home on Monday, November 28th
No School for students on Friday, December 2nd
Parent/Teacher interviews are on Thursday evening from 6-8:30 and on Friday morning from 9-12

November book orders are due on the 28th.
Math- We are working on Unit 2 - Numbers 1-5

Our letter of the week is "P".
On Wednesday, November 16th we will be visiting the hospital.
Math- We are working on creating, counting and recognizing numbers 1-5.
Our penny drive is going well. The reason for the penny drive is to raise money to purchase hockey helmets for students. Once a month each class goes to the L.B.A. for 1 hour of free skate. Every student must wear a helmet to participate.
The food drive is well underway. For every food item brought in for the food bank, your name will go in for a draw to win great prizes.
Don't forget show and tell on Friday.

Remembrance Day is Friday November 11th - NO SCHOOL
Show and Tell will be on Thursday because we have no school on Friday.
Math- We are working numbers 1-5
November 16th our class will be visiting the hospital. Notices and permission slips have been sent home.
November book orders will be sent home next week. If you would like to order books for Christmas gifts just let me know ahead of time so I do not send the books home with your child.

Literacy- We are working on the letter "A" this week. For homework students will expected to read the letter "A" poem and complete the corresponding activity.
Practice printing the letter "A"
Complete the Halloween beginning sounds activity.
Read each night.
Review Sight Words.
Math- Practice printing and creating a set of "3".

Students have no school on Friday, October 21st.
Show and Tell will be on Thursday this week because students have no school on Friday.
In Math we are continuing to work on Unit 2 - Exploring Numbers 1-5.

Interim Reports go home Friday, October 13th.
Beginning Unit 2- Exploring Number in Math. Students will work on constructing, counting and creating set of 1-5.
We are focusing on Phonemic Awareness in Literacy.
We will be discussing Fire Safety this week.

Scholastic book orders have been sent and books should be in by early next week.
