We have some of the same homework every night (except on weekends). Everyone must read for 20 minutes and fill in their Reading Log. Your child will have "Lis 20 minutes-Journal de Lecture" written in his or her Agenda. This must be done every night and must be signed by a parent/guardian. They must also practice their multiplication tables every night as well. The key to knowing their multiplication facts is memorization, so practice is very important! There are several websites you can visit as well to practice these. Some are: http://www.multiplication.com/games http://www.fun4thebrain.com/mult.html http://www.softschools.com/math/games/multiplication_practice.jsp You could also do it the good old fashioned way and use flash cards as well!! If you ever have any questions or concerns about the homework, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school.

Today was a great first day of grade five for the class!! I would just like to mention some housekeeping items that I would like the parents/guardians to take care of by the end of the week. I sent home several papers to be signed. (1) Student Profile Sheet--Please look over all of the information to ensure that it is accurate and make any changes that are required. (2) Publishing Photos, etc. This needs to be signed before I can post anything on our school website (or District website) regarding your child. (3) Intensive French contract--Please go over this with your child and sign it, as well as your child.   I also asked the students to bring in a book cover for their Math text books as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me at the school!!
