We would like to invite you to our
school Open House on Monday September 16th. The Open
House will run from 6 to 7pm and be
held in our cafeteria. The Open house will be followed by the Grade 3 French Immersion parent
information meeting. This is a wonderful
opportunity to learn a little bit more about our school and meet your child’s
teachers.
The
K-3 classes will be hosting our annual Grandparents
Day Concert on Tuesday September 24th
at 9:15am. Please come out and
see our primary students perform for the first time this year.

Just a reminder that the Student Information Sheets have
been sent home and need to be returned to school as soon as possible. Some
Information sheets have been re-sent home because of some missing information,
so please check your child homework bag to see if we still need some additional
information.

The following is a breakdown of a week in our grade 1 class.
Students have Math
and Literacy everyday
Physical Education
Class: Mon., Tue., Thur. and Friday (sneakers required)
Music Class:
Tuesday and Thursday
Library: Thursday
(Books due back that day)
Art: Monday
You and Your World (Health and Science): Tue. Wed. Thur. and
Friday
The student’s homework bag and notice folder will be going
home Mon. to Thur. and need to be checked and returned every day.

Dear Parents/Guardians;
The staff of Saint Andrew’s Elementary
would like to welcome all of you to a new school year and we are looking
forward to having many wonderful learning experiences together. Last year we focused heavily on our school
web page to communicate with our parents and guardians which we will be doing
again this year. All school documents, memos, newsletters and calendars will be
posted on our home page. Sporting
schedules will also be posted although cancellations often occur with very little
notice. We ask that you please check our
site regularly for changes and if you require hard copies of any of the above
documents please notify your child’s homeroom teacher.
Consistent with our District Policy, all
visitors must report to the office, sign in and obtain a visitors pass. Teachers are unavailable to meet with
parents/guardians unless it is an emergency as our focus is on student
instruction between 8:30am and 3pm.
The school day begins at 8:00 am and
students are not to arrive at school prior to this time. As well, our school does not have an Admin.
Assistant on Wednesdays, so please understand when calling on that day.
