Christmas Concert Photos

Just a friendly reminder that parents and guardians are only permitted to take photos of their own child/children during school events and photos that might include other students cannot be posted online. Photos that are used on the school website or in the local media have been approved by the administration.

Last chance for Christmas CDs

The CD is all classes at Saint Andrew’s and the choir, singing all your Christmas favorites. If you are interested in purchasing CDs we require orders and payments in advance. The CDs will be $10 each or 2 for $15.00. National Jersey Day

Show Your Support for Sport on National Jersey Day Friday, November 29th is a national day to show support for Sport by wearing a jersey, team or club uniform to school. So come on St. Andrew’s, dig out your favorite team jersey and proudly wear it to school!

Memo from the office of the Superintendent

Important Message to Parents and Guardians: Requests for Alternate Bussing Arrangements (Bus Passes)         Dear Parents /Guardians, As you are aware, the safety of your children, our students, is of the utmost importance to us and this includes safe transportation to and from school.  The amount of requests schools receive to place students on different school busses is a great concern. This becomes difficult for administration to monitor as large numbers of alternate bus passes are being issued. Young students are often unsure where they are supposed to go and many may be unfamiliar to bus drivers. You have already provided the school with one alternate bus stop and we are able to accommodate this. School administration has been directed to issue additional alternate bus passes for emergency purposes only. On the rare occasion that this may arise, please make contact with the school by telephone. It is important to speak to someone and not to leave a voice message in case it is not picked up prior to departure. Complimentary Passes

Saint Andrews school has been given 50 complimentary passes for the Miramichi Hoop Classic. This event takes place on November 15th and 16th at both the MVHS and JMH gymnasiums. The pass is valid at both locations. The passes will be drawn for and sent home with the winning students in each class this week! Winners from 1D are: Locklin, Abby and Chloe (passes are in their notice folder)

Miramichi ILLUMINATE!

Come out on Thursday November 7th and join Science East at Dr. Losier Middle School for ILLUMINATE! Shedding light on STEM careers. Learn how people in your community are applying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in their work every day.  Talk to the experts! Step into their shoes! Test out the tools and equipment used in their jobs!  Illuminate is a fun family event to spark inspiration through hands-on play and discovery. Thursday November 7th, 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Dr. Losier Middle School. 124 Henderson Street Miramichi. Open to the Public. Admission is FREE. Halloween

Just a reminder that students may wear their Halloween costumes to school for Halloween, or if the wish to bring it with them, we will give them time to change before our school event in the gym. Thank you and have a Happy and Safe Halloween

Class Treats

Thursday October 24, 2013 Dear 1D Families, Often some of the classes at Saint Andrews are overwhelmed with treats during special holidays (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, etc.). Mrs. Donnelly and I would like to try something a little different this year and have a “student sign up” list for those wishing to bring a treat into our class. If you would like to sign up, to send in a holiday treat for the class, please complete the form below and I will send you the date you are responsible for. Please do not feel obligated to sign up for these class treats. Fall Fair - Friday Sept. 27th

Come out and enjoy some Fall Fun at Saint Andrew’s first annual Fun Fall Fair.  Some of the things you can enjoy will be: · Balloon Animals · Face Painting · Games · Boys & Girls Fun Zone · Dress up Photo Booth ($1/picture) · BBQ with hot dogs, chips, pop, and water ($1/item) · Bake Sale ($1/item) · Popcorn ($2/bag) · 50/50 We are looking for volunteers to help set up and take down the Boys & Girls Fun Zone.  If you are able to help do either, please contact the school and let us know what you can do. Please check out the map on the  back for set up and entrance for our Fun Fall Fair.  Hope to see you there! * All proceeds will be going toward additional equipment for the playground.  * $5/person or $10/family

School Memo

MEMO To:          Parents From:        Ralph Williston, Vice Principal Date:        September 16, 2013 Re:          Open House and Terry Fox Walk   Just a reminder that our school’s Open House is tonight at 6pm. Following the Open House there is a meeting for the parents of students in the Grade 3 French Immersion program.   The school will hold our Terry Fox Walk on Friday September 20th .Students will be leaving the school at 10:15am and will walk to the Waterford Green and back.  We ask that each student make a small donation to this worthy cause.   A few other dates we would like you to remember: Grandparents Day Concert, Sept. 24th at 9:15am (K-3 Students only) Fall Fair, Sept. 27th from 4:30 to 6:30pm (Whole school) Thank you.
