I would like to welcome all my students to Kindergarten. We will have so much fun learning new and exciting things.
Here are a few things to remember or that will be happening over the first couple of weeks of school:
* September 4th – No School due to Professional Learning Day.
* We have a staggered entry again this year so please check the letter that was sent to you to see when your child starts. Half the class will start on Wednesday, Sept. 5th and the other half will start on Thursday, Sept. 7th. Students can come right to the classroom as soon as they get to school.
* For those parents that will be picking their child up at the end of the day, we ask that you use the Frost Street entrance. You can wait on the playground until the duty teacher dismisses them at the door. Please wait for your child on the playground.
* Sept. 11th - Meet the Teacher/Open House. All parents and students are encouraged to come.
* Sept. 28th - Grandparents Day Celebration for K-3. This will take place in the school gym from 10:00am – 11:00am.
* 1st Day routine – All Kindergarten students will go directly to their classroom on their first day of school. From then on, all Kindergarten students will wait on the playground until the 8:15 bell rings. For students in grades 1 through 5, class lists will be posted on the wall outside. Teachers will meet their students outside at 8:15. If it is raining, grades 1 and 2 will meet in the cafeteria and grades 3, 4, and 5 students will meet in the gym.
