Week of March 18 - March 22

Posted: March 17, 2013

Here are few things happening this week: *In Literacy, we are working on the letter B b.  So many words begin with this letter, such as, bumblebee, bear, ball, balloon, battery, baby, bird, braid, and Bobby.  Sow and Tell will be on Friday so happy hunting for someone with the /b/ sound.   *In Math, we are working on the Geometry and Measurement Unit.    *The CUTE Awards are this Wednesday, March 20th, at the JMH theater.  The doors open at 6:15 and the show begins at 7:00.  Many teachers at the school are up for awards, so please come out and show your support.   *Spring is here this week!  Can you believe it?  We are still indoors for the short recess, but we still go out for noon recess and the kids tend to get a bit wet.  It may be a good idea to put an extra pair of socks in your child’s book-bag, just in case their socks get wet.  Also, snow pants are getting soaked as well.  Could you please put a plastic bag in your child’s book-bag so they can put their wet snow pants in it at the end of the day.  That is if it’s nice enough to go without them.  Thank you!  Anyone wanting to donate a few plastic bags to the classroom are more than welcome.  We have been going through a lot of them lately.   *If you have any question or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school.  Have a great week!
