Here are a few things
happening this week:
*In Literacy, we will be working
on the letter L l. Lots of words begin
with this letter, such as, like, lucky, lobster, lollipop, love, Landon,
lizard, Lalaloopsy, and Lego. Have fun
looking for something with the /l/ sound for Friday’s Show and Tell.
*In Math, we are still working on the Geometry
and Measurement Unit. The 3D shapes we
learned so far are cylinder, sphere, cube and cone.
*Because of the storm on Monday, we will be
celebrating being in school for 100 days on Tuesday, Feb. 19th, so
come decorated with your favorite 100th day shirt, sweater, hat, poster,
etc. I can’t wait to see them.
*Our class will be going snowshoeing on Wednesday,
Feb. 20th, as part of their gym class. Students will need their snowpants, jacket,
boots, hat, and mittens.
*A new Mango Challenge is starting this week and it will focus on
healthy lunches. All information on this
will be going home with your child in their homework bag.
*Spelling Bee results were
sent home and now it’s time to collect the pledges. Pledge sheets and money is due back on
Wednesday, Feb. 20th. We will
be having our Spelling Bee awards ceremony on Friday, Feb. 22nd.
