Week of April 2 - April 5

Posted: April 1, 2013

Here are a few things happening this week:  *In Literacy, we will be working on the letter Z z.  Can you think of anything that begins with the /z/ sound?  A few words are zoo, zebra, zipper, Ziploc, zap, zone, and Zander.  Show and Tell will be on Thursday this week.   *In Math, we will be having lots of fun measuring things around the classroom.   *On Tuesday, April 2nd, we are having Hat Day in support of World Autism Day.  Students are allowed to wear a hat of their choice and give a donation to do so.  All funds raised go to Autism Resources Miramichi.   *Parent/Teacher interviews will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:30 and again on Friday morning from 9:00 – 11:30.  Interview sheets have been sent home so if you would like an appointment time, please fill it out and I will try to accommodate your preferred time as best I can.  I will send your time home on Tuesday, April 2nd.   *Miss Davis will be with us now every day for the next 7 weeks.  We also have a new Intervention Worker in our classroom.  Her name is Mrs. Smith but the kids can call her Mrs. Jayme.  Let’s all give them a very warm welcome.   *There is no school on Friday, April 5th, due to Parent/Teacher Interviews in the morning and PD for teachers in the afternoon.
