Week of Feb. 27 - Mar. 2

Posted: February 25, 2012

This is the last week before March Break and there are a lot of fun and exciting things that are happening.  *In Literacy this week, we are working on the letter B b and it can be found at the beginning of words, such as, bubbles, bouncy ball, bat, banjo, and brother.  Show and Tell will be on Friday so have fun searching for something that has the /b/ sound.   *In Math, we will continue working on Measurement.   *Spelling Bee information and pledge forms will be sent home on Monday, February 27th. The kick-ff assembly will take place on Wednesday afternoon.     *On Wednesday, February 29th, we are having Winter Sports Day.  This will take place in the morning and for K-2 students, it includes Skating, Sliding at the Hollow, Street Hockey and Indoor Curling.  Remember that if your child is going skating, students must have their skates and helmet and  for sliding, students must have a helmet and a sled, but G.T’s and snowboards are not allowed. Also on Wednesday, it is PINK SHIRT DAY to show that we stand up to bullying and not let it happen.     *Remi the Magician is coming on Friday, March 2nd.  He came last year as well and the students really liked his show.
