Both soccer teams played great games today!
Both teams are playing on their home field this Thursday! The Green team plays first against Napan at 3:45.
Come out and cheer them on!

A reminder that the second cross country race will take place this Wednesday Sept. 24th at NSEE beginning at 4:00 pm.
Please ensure that parents park at the Sunny Corner Arena and walk to the front of the school.

The Saint Andrews’ Cross Country team competed at the first meet of the season yesterday, Wednesday Sept. 17th at Gretna Green Elementary school. Our team was made up of 68 runners competing in all six races.
Following are the names of the runners who placed in the top ten:
Grade 3 Girls: Ava Godfrey 1st, Brooklynn Donovan 2nd, Lauren Stymiest 6th, Ellie Matheson 8th, Isabella Whitty 9th
Grade 3 Boys: Samuel Comeau 3rd, Kevin Park 6th, Logan Saunders 8th
Grade 4 Girls: Maddie Walsh 4th, Kaitlin Martin 10th
Grade 4 Boys: Jack Wilison 1st, Mitchell Swaine 2nd, Gavin McLenaghan 3rd, Owen Trevors 5th, Mikey Clancy 7th, Luke Wishart 8th, Kaden McCarthy 10th
Grade 5 Girls: Lauren Guyader 5th
Grade 5 Boys: Trace Levi 4th, Christopher Cable 10th

Practices are on Mondays:
Sept. 10th, 15th, 22nd, 29th and Oct. 6th from 3-4pm at the school/Hollow.
Runners will remain at school for practice and can be picked by at 4pm.

* All meets will start at 4:00pm
** Runners should be picked up at the school at 3:05pm to allow time to get to the race location.
***Races will be divided into grade and gender. There will be 1st-10th places ribbons presented as well as participation ribbons for all runners.
****Runners must inform their coach before leaving the meet.

There will be a meeting today for students in grades 3-5 interested in joining Cross Country. Permission slips will be going home today and the first practice will be on Wednesday, Sept. 10th.

The 9th annual Grande-Digue will take place on Sunday April 27th. Races include the following:
1500m – Grades 5 & 6
500m – Kindergarten & Younger
800m – Grades 1 & 2
1000m – Grades 3 & 4
The cost is $5.00 until April 23nd and $8:00 after that date. This is not a school or ASD-N event, but all students are welcome. Information on this event is posted at the school and available from Mr. Williston.

The Miramichi United Soccer Club has a new look, courtesy of a freshly designed website on the Goalline sports system. Many coaches and players will be familiar with Goalline, currently in use locally by both minor hockey and minor baseball.
Starting April 1st, online registration for the 2014 season will be available at www.MiramichiUnited.ca, by cash, cheque, or credit card. This is open to players of all ages from 4 years old to seniors, with teams arranged by age and gender - please note that children born in 2010 who are not yet 4 years old are still eligible. This registration will include all participants in the Miramichi, Sunny Corner, and Blackville locations. Space is limited, so players and parents are encouraged to register soon.
Online registration is now open - select "Player Registration 2014" from the address bar above.
For those wishing to register in person, dates and locations will be announced on the website in mid-April as soon as details are confirmed.
