French - This week's theme will be "Friends" Students will learn to present a friend to the class. Phrases that they will learn include: "I have a friend...his/her name is", "Do you have a friend?...what is his/her name?", "Is your friend a boy or girl?" etc.We will continue to work with the colour theme as we progress to learn new school and class vocabulary items. Our word wall continues to grow and students are making great gains.Likewise, we have moved on from the vowel A in our reading and writing activities and are now concentrating on the vowels E, I, O, and U. These sheets will be sent home on Monday to practice. Please take time to practice the words found on the bottom of the vowel sheets as well. You will notice that they are the same on each sheet. These particular words have also been added to our class word wall.
We also continue to read collectively as a group. In the coming days, books will begin to be sent home. Your child may not recognize/retain everything as of yet, but please encourage them read the title, look at the pictures, and continue with a sentence or page if they get hung up on a word.Math - This week our focus will be on pronoucing numbers from 20-50.
