September is just around the bend and school will be beginning soon. Stores are now fully stocked with school supplies and many are starting their shopping for back to school. The lists of school supplies for each grade that have been provided by the staff at St. Andrews Elementary are available on the left of this page under "Latest Documents". Please note that the Kindergarten classes are asking for $25.00 per student for supplies. Enjoy the rest of the summer and we will see you all in September!

St. Andrews Elementary Cluster Sowcase will be presented at Middle Island on June 15, 2011 at 6:00pm. There will be special guests and music by the St. Andrew's Elementary School Choir with special guest Mathilda Murdock on fiddle!

Watermelon is really a vegetable. It can be traced back to Africa and is part of the cucumber and squash family.Watermelon is perhaps the most refreshing and thirst quenching fruit of all. Watermelons consist of 92% water and 8% sugar so the name fits!
Watermelons are available year round!

On Thursday June 2nd at 12:30pm students and staff will be going for walk as part New Brunswick Disability Awareness Week. Schools have been asked to have students complete a 15 minute walk or roll (if in a wheelchair) to draw attention to persons with disabilities.
The grades 3, 4 and 5 students worked very hard on creating a website for the technology part of Cluster about Middle Island. Click on the link below and you can see what a wonderful job they did creating this website. Also, you can read about what all the other Clusters worked on during this time. There are plenty of photos to see as well. The pictures show what students from kindergarten to grade 5 worked on and have learned about Middle Island.

The K-3 walking club will be beginning their daily walking on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at lunch time. A permission note will be send home which has to be signed and returned in order for students to be able to participate.
