Just a note that the draw for the Swedish Weave Afgahan will be held on April 31st.  The tickets say it will be held on May 1st but the students do not have school on May 1st or 2nd. (Note: the Afgahan is not the one pictured here)

All District Educational Staff will be involved in Professional Learning Activities on Thursday April 17th. Therefore, there will be no school for students on Thursday,or on Good Friday and Easter Monday.  Enjoy your extra long weekend!

Students at Saint Andrews Elementary celebrated Hat Day in Awareness of Autism on April 8th. Our students raised an extraordinary amount for this worthy cause - $281.05! All proceeds raised go to our local Autism Resources Center here on the Miramichi. We are delighted to acknowledge your child’s contribution to supporting those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Please don’t forget to buy your tickets on our beautiful handmade Swedish Weave Afgahan. All proceeds will go towards purchasing new playground equipment for students in wheelchairs. Extra tickets are available at the office and can be sent home with your child. The draw date for this Afgahan is May 1st (Just in time for Mother’s Day)

Due to the very wet conditions on our playground, we are asking that parents and guardians send a plastic bag to school with your child so we can put the very wet ski pants in it at the end of the day. Thank You

The Miramichi United Soccer Club has a new look, courtesy of a freshly designed website on the Goalline sports system. Many coaches and players will be familiar with Goalline, currently in use locally by both minor hockey and minor baseball.

The students and staff of Saint Andrews enjoyed some wonderful Chicken Freco on Friday, March 28th as a way to learn a little bit more about the Acadian culture. We would like to thank Jamie Ross, Mrs. Ross and Mrs. Robinson for all their prep work that was needed in order for us to have this delicious taste of Acadian stew.
