Children Have the Right to a Proper Education

Posted: February 4, 2011

Dear Parents, We will be having a bake sale to raise money for Mirren's great aunt, Sister Noreen MacDonald. She lives in Cameroon, Africa.  We will use the money to purchase one textbook in each language per student.  They learn both French and English in Cameroon; like NB!  In the past, Sister Noreen MacDonald has managed to build a school but had to teach the entire class with only one dictionary! This money will also help to buy school supplies. If you could send some "goodies" in with your child it would be greatly appreciated. Baked goods must not contain nuts. The bake sale will be on Thursday, February 17, 2011. Baked goods should be individually wrapped, ready for sale. Students will put prices on at school. Prices  will range from $0.25 - $1.00. A little bit of cash can go a long way in Cameroon........even for students to have access to pencils is a big deal, so every little bit counts. From the fundraiser 5:Mirren Trevors,  Hanna Dunn,  Madelyn McNeil, Khrislyn Colford and Mandy MacLean.
