Students could not believe there are only 10 days until Halloween. I
plan on having a few activities on Thursday, Oct 31st. If you decide
to bring treats with your child, please make sure they are peanut and honey free (there are 17 students and 2 adults).
Every day I do a read aloud to the class for at
least 15 minutes. We have recently finished Dairy of a Wimpy Kid Third Wheel. Tomorrow we are going to be doing a fun
activity to go along with the book.
This week in Social Studies, we are continuing
learning about New Brunswick. Students have been familiarizing themselves with
maps. We are focusing this week on scale.
October 28th, Joey Savoy will be in
to do Geo-Cashing with our class for the morning. The students are really
looking forward to the presentation.
In Math we are using base-ten blocks and
place-value charts to represent numbers over 100. Today students learned about
standard form and base-ten names.
Stay tuned for more updates J
