How is it June already?!  Only a few weeks left, but still work to do! French - This week students began activities with their last spelling list of the year!  The words are: une graine, un voyage, la nourriture, français, un hexagone, un prisme,  un morceau, un tableau, du fromage & un panier.  Students have made a plan for a creative narrative and most have introductions drafted.  We will continue to work on writing, reading, spelling as well as oral structures this week.Math -  This week we are finishing up our geometry unit.  Students have looked at polygons with 3, 4, 5, 6 & 8 sides, pyramids and prisms.  We will finish off with spheres, cylinders and cones and their properties (corners, edged, faces)  The unit test will be Tuesday June 10th.Science - We have been watching our tomato plants grow and they are getting way too big for the peat pods they were started in.  We will be transplanting them to larger pots Thursday.  If anyone has any extra flower pots and/or bigger yogurt containers, small ice cream tubs, etc.  Students will take their plant home in a couple weeks in this pot if they choose to.  We are also exploring different soil types this week.Busy, busy!  I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week!
