Back for another week! A fun one too! This week we have Valentine's Day (A class list went home today, for any who need one) and skating on Wednesday. French: We continue to work on various reading strategies, spelling, sounds and comprehension through 'Daily 5.' Everyday we read together, independently and with partners. We practice different sentence structures orally and in our writing each day. Students should read and record 1-2 books (some choose to take extras) in their reading logs each night. Please sign their log once they have read their book(s). Social Studies: We are continuing with our discussions about our surrounding & neighbourhoods while working on map reading & drawing, as well. Math: We are on our last two lessons for subtraction (Using mental math strategies to help find differences and working with 3 digit numbers.) Next week will be reviewing the addition and subtraction strategies and having the unit test late in the week.
