Posted: September 19, 2011

Dear Families,       We are beginning to work on numbers from 0 to 20.  Many children have difficulty with their teen numbers,  therefore any extra help you can give your child would be helpful to them.       Our learning goals for this part of the curriculum are: 1. Read and print numbers to 20.                   2. Count forward from 0 to 20 and count backwards from 20 to 0.                   3. Count by matching the numbers to the objects being counted (one to one matching).                   4. "Build: numbers by arranging and rearranging objects.                   5. Recognize familiar groups of objects or dots.                   6. Compare and order numbers and groups of objects using words such as more, fewer, and same.                   7. Estimate the number of objects and check by counting. If you have any questions regarding anything we are covering please call.
