Grade 2 Trip to Kouchibouguac Park

Posted: June 17, 2011

We had a terrific day at Kouchibouguac National Park.  Students learned about the various butterflies that inhabit the salt marsh and all about the piping plover that lays its eggs along the shore. Our guide had lots of information for us and the students learned alot of new things about our seashore.  It was quite chilly along the coast today but despite the cold wind the students had a great time playing along the beach. We had a picnic lunch and an ice cream treat before going for a walk and looking  through the giant binoculars out at the Northumberland Strait. It was a great day overall!!
