Posted: September 21, 2014

Here are a few things happening this week: *In Literacy this week, we are introducing two new sight words.  These sight words are ‘in’ and ‘is’.  Please review sight words every night.  Also this week, we will be learning about compound words. A new sight word book is be sent home this week.  Please have your child continue with their homework calendar.  *In Math, we are working on Patterns.  We will be doing lots of hands on activities to help the children learn all about the different kinds of patterns.   *On Friday, September 26th, we will be celebrating Grandparents Day with all K – 3 students.  This will take place in the school gym, beginning at 9:00 am.  The children have been working hard on their performances and they are very excited to put on a show for their grandparents.   *Just a quick note to let you know that our playground is very cold this time of year, especially in the morning.  Please send mittens and a hat with your child.  *Picture Day is on Thursday, September 25th so come to school with your best smile.  Class photos will also be taken on this day.
