Week of Nov. 24 - Nov. 28

Posted: November 25, 2014

Here are a few things happening this week: *In Literacy, we will be working on the letter C c.  The letter C c has two sounds.  Some words that begin with the hard /c/ sound are cat, crown, cuddle, corn, candy, cute, cupcake, and Christmas.  Some words that begin with the soft /s/ sound are cinnamon, cell phone, celery, cent, centipede, circle, city, cylinder, and cyclone.  Show and Tell will be on Friday so have fun finding something that begins with C.   *In Math, we are working on Unit 2: Numbers to 5.  We have been making combinations of 2, 3, and 4.   *On Friday, November 28th, all students can wear their favorite jersey for Jersey Day.   *On Wednesday, November 26th, students in Mrs. Allison’s class can wear their pajamas to school in celebration of reaching 10 minutes in Read to Self.  Congratulations boys and girls!    *Some important dates to remember are:  December 16th – Christmas Concert beginning at 9:00 am for K-2.  The storm date for the Christmas Concert is Dec. 17th at the same time. The last day of school before Christmas Break is December 19th.  This is a full day of school.
