Here are a few things happening this week:
* In Literacy, we are working on the letter O o. The is anther hard working vowel because it says two sounds. The long O o sound can be found in words such as, oval, orange, ocean, Olympics, oatmeal, open, and overalls. The short O o sound can be found in words such as, operator, mom, mop, option, octopus, olive, and octogon. Show and Tell will be on Friday so have fun searching for something that begins with the /o/ sound.
* In Math, we continue to work on Unit 3: Geometry and Measurement.
* Interim Reports go home on Tuesday, February 4th. Please look for this in your child's book buddy bag.
* On Friday, we have Art Richard coming in to perform for the students in the morning and in the afternoon we are having our opening ceremonies for the Olympics
