French - We will be commencing a new theme this week. We are moving
on from what makes us unique to discussing our favorite activities and pass
times. This theme is our 8th within the French Immersion
curriculum. Students will learn to say “Je préfère, j’adore, je joue, je fais”,
etc and incorporate these structures into their reading and writings as well.Likewise, we continue
on a practice our “dictée” (spelling words) throughout the week as well. Each
day, students have an opportunity to practice in one of 5 centers created
throughout the classroom. Please ensure that
students read their take home books nightly to provided them with an extra
opportunity to masters their vocabulary, sounds, comprehension, and fluidity. *** If your child is unsure of a word, feel free
to write it down on a sticky note and/or write it down in their agenda and we
will practice the word(s) and add them to our word wall. As well, please ensure
your child records the book(s) they have read each night in the reading log
sheet. I have extra copies once their log becomes full.Math – As for this week, we will be using our time to
review/go over concepts thought to date in our Patterns unit. Test on Wednesday.Feel free to contact me via
