Welcome back from Thanksgiving weekend! I look forward to hearing everyone's stories from their extended weekend. I hope you enjoyed the "Dans mon sac d'école" Photostory video. Throughout the year, we will continue to utilize technology as much as possbile to expand our learning en Français.
French - This week our theme will be all about "pets" Students will learn to identify various animals, express which one's they prefer, and describe in detail a pet of their choice. For example, students will learn to say the following: "mon animal préféré est...", "il s'appelle", "je n'ai pas...", "je veux avoir", etc.
Please continue and read, record, and return your child's book along with his agenda and letter sheet daily. We will soon commence guided reading once the nightly reading books have been completed. Remember as well to continue reading the sound sheet of the night (placed in agenda) and review les "mots outils" located inthe box on the bottom of the sheet. Our word quiz will be on Friday.
Math - We continue to practice our numbers orally up to 100 in class. Please refer to my web links in order to practice at home. Also, we will continue to work on our numbers unit in math. Last week we completed another 2 lessons. Students continue to review how to represent numbers symbolically and pictorially using base ten units. By Friday, my goal is to complete our first unit. Practice sheets will be sent how the following week in order to practice for our unit quiz.
