Welcome
back! Report cards will be sent home on Wednesday. Parent-teacher interviews will
take place Thursday evening and Friday morning. Fingers crossed that there will
be no more storm cancellations J
French - Students will complete a narrative story
about St. Patrick’s Day on Monday. We will use the remainder of our shortened
week to complete our discussions on “Seasons” and local attractions across
various villages, towns, and cities across New Brunswick as we wrap up our Social
Studies Unit. Students will commence their final copy of their city/town
presentation and practice reading it in advance of the final tech presentation.
Following Social Studies, we will move on to study Canada’s Food Guide and
healthy lifestyles in Health.
Students
continue to make gains in their reading, and I am pleased with everyone’s
results to date. Please continue to read at home each night to promote the
gains they have made thus far. Do not hesitate to ask your child questions
pertaining to the 5 "w's" (who, what, where, when, why) to challenge
them further.
Math - We will finalize our 4th unit on
measurement this week. This week students incorporate their addition skills in
order to measure area and perimeter. Thursday we will review in preparation for
their unit test on Monday.
Social Studies - Stay tuned for students
final video presentations next week J
