March 10-14th

Welcome back! I was excited to see everyone today and hear their stories! A reminder that report cards will be sent out on Wednesday the 19th Parent-teacher interview notices will be sent home soon. French - We picked up from where we left off and continued to discuss “Seasons” as our topic of discussion. We will take the opportunity this week to discuss climate in New Brunswick as we integrate Social Studies into our French lessons. We will review the fall season and words studied from last term in order to complete a table regarding what students do, wear, and feel in fall. From there we will complete another table on winter and so on. Please continue to read at home each night to promote the gains they have made thus far. Do not hesitate to ask your child questions pertaining to the 5 "w's" (who, what, where, when, why) to challenge them further. Math - We continue with our 4th unit. This week students will be estimating and measuring the length, width and height of objects equal or greater than 1 meter. We will also make conversions from cm to m and vice versa i.e. 150 cm = 1.5 m Social Studies - This week we will study climate in NB, as well as points of interest/ attractions across various cities and towns. Prior to break, students began researching and writing their rough copy of their chosen city/town for their final project. We will continue this week in preparation for their final project which I suspect will near completion in a week or two. Reminders: - Reading is to occur nightly - Please sign agendas and reading log sheets. I have many extras if need be - Report cards go out March 19th As always, if you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns please contact me. I will reply via phone call as soon as possible. Let’s have a great week!
