Plant Identification with the ipods at the HOLLOW!

Posted: June 13, 2013

We would like to thank Judson Waye for taking time to come to the Hollow with our grade 3 class to photograph plants. Ipods were used to do plant classification to finish our units on plants and soil. Each student was in a team of 4 and they had to take pictures of plants found in the Hollow using an ipod. After the activity, the pictures were collected from each team and burned on a disk. Each group can now create a project on smart notebook, where they have to identify all the plants, animals and trees that they observed. We will be doing the same activity tomorrow at Middle Island! What a great way to end our Units!!!
